“OLD TESTAMENT NAMES FOR GOD”
[ E to I ]
ETERNAL GOD : The Eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him! (Deuteronomy 33:27)
EVERLASTING FATHER : For to us a child is born, To us a son is given, And the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 )
GLORY OF THE LORD : And the Glory of the LORD will be revealed, And all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:5 )
GOD : In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1 )
GOD ALMIGHTY :When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty “walk before me and be blameless. (Genesis 17:1)
GOD WHO SEES ME : She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” (Genesis 16:13 )
GUIDE : For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our Guide even to the end. (Psalm 48:14 )
HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL : This is what the LORD says— the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel —to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, To the servant of rulers: “Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”( Isaiah 49:7)
I AM : God said to Moses, “I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” (Exodus 3:14)
IMMANUEL : Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)
